Starting Anew

BY THOMAS SANTUCCI, CHAMBER BOARD CHAIR

As March arrives so comes all we anticipate with the upcoming season. Spring is a time of rebirth and renewal, opportunities for growth. Queens County, the most diverse community we call home is on the cusp of something new as a many anticipate a new leader in our upcoming Borough President’s Special Election.

On the 24th of March, one of these individuals: Donovan Richards, Costa Constantinides, Elizabeth Crowley, Jim Quinn, Anthony Miranda or Dao Yin will fill the role until years’ end. They’ll guide and direct us along a new path designed to enable community growth.

This is an important time in our community as we take to the polls to exercise our right to vote, electing individuals who’ll represent our needs on issues ranging from housing, transportation, and climate just to name a few of the top line issues. An issue that’s always of essential importance for Queens Chamber is the economic well being of the County. Our Chamber members represent a vast majority of the business community small to large throughout the borough.

With 90% of our membership being businesses of ten or fewer employees, the resources provided by the Chamber are critical to stimulate your growth and renewal. As we move into a new month the Chamber is poised to educate you on a range of topics that will enable your business to grow. From City Contracting and Passport Information Forum on 9th to Assessing Your Company’s Financial Needs on 18th all designed for you to move your organization forward economically.

Over the coming days and weeks, I advise you to become actively engaged with Queens Chambers and take advantage of the dynamic programming they’ve planned specifically with you in mind. As business owners insight into key information that will positively impact your bottom-line is essential. Thank you for continually supporting the Chamber.

I’m honored to serve as Board Chair for an organization which is passionate about effecting change within the community it serves. Embrace the promise of spring…a season of growth and renewal.
