Get Engaged with the Chamber in May

BY THOMAS GRECH

The Queens Chamber of Commerce was honored to host Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul last month to share highlights of the state’s Fiscal Year 2020 budget with over 50 individuals.

We’re always grateful to have the lieutenant governor visit and hear her speak passionately about Queens and all the great work our elected officials are doing to benefit of the citizens of New York State.

The Chamber partnered with the Greater Jamaica Development Corporation, Queens Economic Development Corporation, and Long Island City Partnership for he event.
This month, we’ll host our Annual Queens Business Expo 2019 at Citi Field, easily one of the highlights of the year, and it promises to be more impactful than years past.

With over 140 exhibitors from Queens and the greater New York City area in attendance, it’s your opportunity to meet one-on-one with decision makers, build your business network, and get exposure to some of the top organizations in the city.

We make every effort to create and host events that enable access to individuals and organizations you want to do business with and provide a return on your investment as a Queens Chamber member.

Aside from our Queens Business Expo on May 16, we’ll host our Quarterly New Member Orientation to provide an overview of member benefits, discuss how to navigate our Chamber website, and recruit for our nine volunteer committees. It’s all about engagement and participation.

Also this month is the Expanding to a Global Market event in Jamaica and the Queens Chamber Technology Committee will present a dynamic discussion on the economic benefits of 5G technology, which is the next evolution of wireless.

As you can see, there’s never a shortage of opportunities for you as a Queens Chamber member or future member to expand your business network and tap into new resources to stimulate growth within your organization.

I often say I have the greatest job in the city. I’m grateful every day for the opportunity to generate opportunities that strengthen our Queens business community.
