Make Every Moment Count

Message from the Chair

My first month as Chair has been quite rewarding. Early last month I had the distinct pleasure of making the trip to our state Capital as part of the Chamber’s Queens Day in Albany. A full day filled with visiting with our elected officials, seating in the Senate Chamber during session, and most importantly connecting with business owners from across Queens like yourself. One of those rare moments I don’t take lightly.

In whatever you do in your daily business you should always seek out ways to enrich the lives of others, simply make every moment count. As business owners I know you’re familiar with the phrase “time is money”. And that statement is true, however, you should make it a priority to invest your time wisely in ways that are beneficial not only, your business, but life as well.

Many of you reading this are well acquainted with Queens Chamber and the work they do on behalf of the business community. If you’re a member you’re probably aware of the benefits that membership affords you. Access to resources that will help sustain your organization, and opportunities to build your network resulting in increases your bottom line. And of course, educational programs designed to keep you on the cutting edge of this fast-paced society we live in.

I hope is you’re being wise taking advantage of all that’s make available to you.

As I mentioned before, I take great pleasure in learning and listening to others. Whenever I have an opportunity, I owe it to you share some knowledge as well. Life and business is all about give and take, but it’s an equal balance. You should always be willing to give which will make you appreciate the latter.

With summer launching into full swing, you’ll undoubtedly take time away from the hustle and bustle of work life to wind down and recharge. When you do make every moment count and you will better appreciate the break in the long-run.

If you’re unsure what all Queens Chamber has to offer visit our website www.queenschamber.org. The hard-working staff is ready and always available to assist with your needs. They’re knowledgeable and nice people too.!

I’m grateful for this opportunity I have to serve as Chair but I even more thankful to each and everyone of you for supporting this 111-year-old institution we call Queens Chamber.

All the best to you and yours.
