Get engaged, stay engaged with the Chamber

By Thomas Grech, Executive Director of the Queens Chamber of Commerce

Fall is back and the Queens Chamber is ready to rock and roll! Over the next two months, we have a number of major events on tap. These are excellent opportunities for you to engage with our membership and spread the word of your organization. We exist to educate, advocate and network for your business and will do everything we can to connect the dots for you.

As the leaves turn and fall, I want to impress upon everyone that your success with the Queens Chamber is directly related to your involvement in our member committee meetings, events and seminars. The more you network and meet like-minded individuals, the greater chance you have to make meaningful business connections. As such, I want to make sure you are apprised of all information to make this happen.

Queens Chamber Calendar of Upcoming Events

If you are interested in our upcoming Queens Chamber events, be sure to check out our Calendar of Events on the Queens Chamber website at queenschamber.org. This calendar will help you find industry-specific events that will cater to the subject matter of your organization.

Activate Your New Member Profile via Eventbank

The Queens Chamber recently launched a new website and membership platform. If you are a member of the Chamber, you have received an invitation to activate your Member Profile and update any information. The invitation will be in your email inbox (also check spam folder) and will include instructions for activation. Please check for this to make sure your company’s information is up to date.

If you have not received this invitation, please contact Brett Swanson at [email protected] or call us at (718) 898-8500.

Member Committees

Member committees are a great way to get involved with the Queens Chamber and meet other business owners who are in your field. The committees are industry-specific with substantive information about relevant topics in your field.

Current committees include Communications, Energy & Environmental, Healthcare & Wellness, Manufacturing, Nonprofit, Real Estate, Restaurant & Hospitality, Technology, and Transportation. Meetings are typically held once every other month. These events are on the Queens Chamber website calendar.

Post Your Events to the Queens Chamber Community Events Page

If you wish to post an event to our website, you may now do so on our Community Events Calendar. This service is complimentary for Chamber members, easy to do, and will help your business’ internet search hits. Contact us if you have specific questions about this.

I look forward to seeing you and greeting you personally at our events and meetings!
